Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-15
Robot Networks Inc. uses cookies and similar browser storage on boardwalk.cloud and app.boardwalk.cloud as described in this Cookie Policy. It supplements our Privacy Policy. We use storage needed to operate the sites and optional analytics storage. We do not use advertising, retargeting, social-media, or cross-site fingerprinting cookies.
1. Categories
- Strictly necessary. Authentication, session security, fraud and abuse prevention, and request routing. The authenticated console cannot work without these.
- Functional. Your theme, sidebar state, last organization, region used for consent handling, and analytics choice.
- Analytics. PostHog helps us understand visits, signup flow, and product use. Analytics never receives inference prompts or completions.
2. Storage Boardwalk sets
bw.theme: your light, dark, or system theme preference. Host-only; up to one year.bw.sidebar.collapsed: whether the console navigation is collapsed. Console only; up to one year.bw.last_org: the last organization you visited, so account-level pages can return you to the right workspace. Console only; up to one year.bw_country: the two-letter country code supplied by our hosting provider, used to decide whether to ask before enabling browser analytics. It does not contain precise location. Host-only; up to one day.bw_analytics_consent: whether analytics was accepted or rejected. Scoped to boardwalk.cloud so one choice applies to the marketing site and console; up to one year or until you change it.
bw_posthog_consent_v2 is the analytics SDK's first-party opt-in or opt-out flag. It records the collection choice rather than a browsing identifier and may last up to one year. Our Boardwalk preference and any Global Privacy Control signal take priority over an earlier SDK choice.
3. Authentication and infrastructure cookies
Clerk sets strictly necessary cookies to create and maintain your login session, prevent request forgery, and complete authentication challenges. Names and lifetimes can vary with the login method and Clerk release; session cookies expire at sign-out or according to the session's configured lifetime. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary routing, deployment-protection, or abuse-prevention cookies when those features apply.
Stripe may set its own necessary fraud-prevention and checkout cookies on Stripe-hosted pages when you buy credits or save a payment method. Those pages are governed by Stripe's privacy and cookie notices.
4. PostHog analytics
Where consent is required in the EU, EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we do not enable browser analytics collection or its identifier storage until you accept. We also ask when we cannot determine your country. Elsewhere, browser analytics is enabled by default unless you reject it or send a Global Privacy Control signal. You can change the choice at any time.
When analytics storage is enabled, PostHog sets first-party cookies whose names generally begin with ph_. They hold a pseudonymous identifier and related product analytics state so visits can be associated over time and across Boardwalk subdomains. They may last up to one year. For signed-in users, we associate that identifier with our internal user and organization identifiers and names; we do not send PostHog your email address, API keys, payment-card details, prompts, or completions. Session replay is not enabled.
When you reject, we stop optional browser analytics collection and clear the SDK's stored analytics identity. We do not switch rejected visitors to cookieless tracking. Previously collected events are not automatically erased; you may request deletion under the Privacy Policy. Necessary operational records and selected server-side product events described in the Privacy Policy continue independently of browser storage. Rejecting does not affect access to inference, authentication, or billing.
5. Your choices
Use Cookie preferences in the footer to accept or reject analytics at any time. A Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a rejection even after an earlier acceptance. Your browser can also block or delete cookies, but blocking necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and may break console preferences. A choice applies only to the browser or device on which you make it unless your browser synchronizes storage.
6. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our sites or providers change. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Questions: legal@boardwalk.cloud.
